I have a B.A. in Spanish from the University of New Mexico, earned in 2000, after a full course load and living in Spain for a year during my academic program. I speak both English and Spanish fluently, and have some background in Italian. I work in marketing and communications at UNM, and my professional background in public information and communications has always included writing, proofreading, and editing. My day-to-day work includes extensive reading, writing, copy editing, and proofreading of both my own and others' work. I've done volunteer work with the Albuquerque Literacy Program through Community College of New Mexico. I'm currently enrolled in master-level classes in professional writing at the University of New Mexico, with an eye toward eventually earning an M.A. in Professional Writing and Rhetoric from UNM.
