I have a BAFA in Fine Art studio art. I have been a working artist in Albuquerque for nearly ten years. I also recently received my MA in Art Education and have a valid New Mexico teaching License. I believe in an Art curriculum that not only emphasizes the importance of practicing the techniques unique to the creation of art, the principles and elements of design, covering state standards, but also learning to use art as a tool for enhancing one's life, mind and spirit. In my own personal life art is one of the most important things to me. I feel compelled to share my love for art with others. Therefore, I also believe that an art education should be fun, and centered around a student's specific interests and curiosities.
