My focus is to have the learners gain a deep level of understanding and perspective on the subjects I am tutoring. I am not about having people memorize or recognize patterns so they can just get through the subject. I want them to see how, as much as why, things work the way they do, so they can have the ability to perceive mathematics and astrophysics as it applies to the real world. That way students are not just trying to see what looks familiar in the setup of a problem, but instead they take a comprehensive approach to any problem regardless of how it is set up. This pedagogy involves a lot of fun and excitement as it fires up the imagination, visualization, and realizations of scales for the concepts I cover. Learners also develop the capacity to estimate ballpark solutions to problems on-the-fly, which is crucial for checking if answers make sense in the first place.
